Property for sale in Torrevieja: villas, apartments and new builds

Torrevieja sits in the Vega Baja, in the south of Alicante province: some 14 kilometres of coast and beaches such as La Mata, El Cura, Los Locos and Los Náufragos. With 106,000 registered residents (January 2025) it works as a town, not as a seasonal resort. Alicante-Elche airport is about 45 kilometres away, roughly 40 minutes on the AP-7. More than half of the municipality is protected land: the Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja natural park. La Mata, to the north, still feels like a village; Los Balcones, further inland, is residential.

You will mostly find apartments in the town centre, and bungalows, townhouses and villas in the urbanisations; there is both resale and new build. More than half of the registered residents are foreign, from 123 nationalities, split between first and second homes. Day-to-day life is covered by Torrevieja University Hospital, its health centres, a dozen state schools and the Marina Salinas marina. If you play golf, La Marquesa is in Rojales, under twenty minutes away.
