Torreblanca is a development on the outskirts of Torrevieja, set back from the coast and with no beach of its own. It came out of the local plan approved on 30 April 1975, with the development project of 1984, over a sector of more than 110 hectares: hence its low-density building, of open residential streets rather than gated developments.
Detached villas and townhouses dominate, built at different times, alongside the occasional newer development, on plots that allow for a garden and a private pool. It is a quiet area of family houses, a short drive from the services and beaches of the rest of the town.
