What is stored in your browser when you visit this website, who stores it, what it is for and how you switch it on or off. With the preferences panel included, so that you can change your mind without having to look for where.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. On your next visit the site reads that file and can therefore recognise your browser: remember that you already chose a language, keep your session open or count how many people have been through a page.
They are not programs and they cannot damage your device. What they can do, depending on who places them, is follow your trail across different websites, and that is why the law requires you to be told about them and asked for permission for the ones that are not essential.
Alongside cookies there are other techniques that do the same thing under another name — local browser storage, tracking pixels, device fingerprints. When we say «cookies» here we mean all of them, and in the table in section 4 they are included as what they are.
The owner of this website is ADEL REAL ESTATE, S.L. (Adel Properties), with CIF B56544166 and registered address at C/ Bilbao, 1, Local 16, 03181 Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain.
There are two possible origins for a cookie on this website:
We cannot answer for third-party cookies as if they were ours, but we are responsible for deciding which ones come in, for telling you about them and for not loading them until you accept them.
Cookies are classified in three different ways at the same time: by who places them, by how long they last and by what they are for. The same cookie falls into one box in each column.
Only technical cookies can be installed without asking your permission. For all the rest, you have to accept them yourself.
This is the complete list. It is short on purpose: this website does not measure, does not profile and does not carry advertising, so the only thing it stores on its own account is what is strictly necessary in order to work — including your own decision about cookies, which has to be stored somewhere so as not to ask you again every time.
| Name | Owner | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
adel_cookies |
Adel Properties (first-party) | To store which categories of cookies you have accepted, so as not to ask you again on every page. It is the cookie that makes your decision count for something. | 180 days | Technical |
adel-mapa-aceptado |
Adel Properties (first-party) | To remember, only during this visit, that you have clicked to see the embedded map, so that you do not have to be asked again when you change page. It is browser session storage, not a cookie sent to the server. | Deleted when the tab is closed | Technical |
adel-resenas-aceptadas |
Adel Properties (first-party) | The same as the previous one, for the Google reviews. | Deleted when the tab is closed | Technical |
| Cookies from Featurable and from Google | Featurable, Inc. — their policy — and Google Ireland Ltd. — their policy | To display the real Google reviews. The widget loads its own code and also brings the profile photos from Google servers. Nothing is loaded until you accept «Advertising and social media» or expressly click to see them. | Set by each provider | Third-party |
| Cookies from Google Maps | Google Ireland Ltd. — their policy | To display the office map embedded in the page. It is not loaded until you accept «Preferences» or expressly click to see it. | Set by Google | Third-party |
For the last two rows we do not publish specific names or durations, and it is not an oversight: those cookies are placed by the provider, not by us, they change when the provider decides, and a list of ours would be out of date the following month. Their policy, linked in the table, is the source that is kept up to date.
If at any point this website starts measuring visits or carrying advertising, new rows will appear here before anything is installed, and you will be asked again.
These are the external services in play. The first two are in use today; the next three are planned but are not installed, and they are stated here so that they do not turn up one day out of the blue. None of them loads without your permission.
To display the real Google reviews on the Reviews page and on the home page.
What it brings: The Featurable widget, which loads its own JavaScript and also brings the profile photos of whoever writes each review from Google servers. Until you accept this category, in their place you will see a notice with a button.
To show on a map where the office is.
What it brings: Google cookies when the map loads. Until you ask for it, the page shows the address, the opening hours and a link to open the map outside — so that you can find out where we are without loading anything.
To stop the forms filling up with automated submissions.
What it uses: An invisible method that installs no cookie and asks nothing of the visitor: a hidden field that only automated programs fill in, plus a check that the form was not sent too quickly. That is why it does not appear in the table. If Google reCAPTCHA were ever needed, it would install cookies and would be declared here before being put in.
To know how many people visit the website, which properties are looked at most and which countries they come from.
What it would bring: First-party measurement cookies (visitor and session identifier). It is not in place today: accepting «Analytics» right now loads nothing.
To measure whether social media ads bring real visits and enquiries.
What it would bring: Meta cookies and the sending of browsing data to a third party. Only with express advertising consent.
To show videos of developments and of the area within the website itself.
What it would bring: Player cookies when it loads. The video on the home page is NOT one of these: it is hosted on our own server and contacts nobody.
The fewer that come in, the simpler this policy stays and the less the visitor has to accept. It is worth asking, service by service, whether what it contributes is worth it.
The first time you come in, the website shows you a notice with three clear options: accept all, reject all or choose group by group. Rejecting has to be as easy as accepting, and that is why the two buttons are at the same level and the same size.
Until you decide, no cookie other than a technical one is installed. And if you do not choose anything, it is not taken as a yes: carrying on browsing is not accepting.
Your decision is stored for 180 days so as not to ask you again on every visit, and you can change it whenever you like from this same panel.
You have two routes, and both work at any time:
Bear in mind that deleting them from the browser also deletes the cookie that stores your choice, so the next time you come in we will ask you again.
That the website carries on working. You can search for properties, view listings, read news and write to us exactly the same. Rejecting cookies does not block access to anything.
What you will notice is small: the office map and the Google reviews will ask you for a click in order to load instead of appearing on their own. Nothing else.
And on our side, we stop having aggregate usage data. It is not your problem, but it is honest to say it: that is the real reason why most websites would rather you accepted.
The two third-party services the website uses today belong to companies with a United States parent. When you accept loading them, part of the data your browser collects — your IP address, which page you were looking at — may end up being processed outside the European Economic Area.
Neither of the two receives the data you give us in a form. That is explained in the Privacy policy.
This policy explains what is stored in your browser and why. The Privacy policy explains what we do with the personal data you give us directly — when you fill in a form, write to us or call us — and what rights you have over it.
They are two different things and that is why they are in separate documents. If what you want is to access your data, correct it or ask us to delete it, the right place is the privacy policy, not this page.
This policy will be updated whenever the cookies the website uses change, third-party services come in or go out, or the applicable legislation changes.
Each version carries its date at the top, so that it is possible to know how old what you are reading is. And if the change affects the cookies that need your permission, you will be asked again: the stored decision carries a version number inside it, precisely so that the previous ones can be invalidated when that happens.
If you have questions about the use of cookies on this site, or you want us to explain what has been stored in your browser, the form is right below.
You can also write to us directly at info@adelproperties.es.
If you want to know what cookies this website has installed on you, withdraw your consent or tell us that something does not work the way we say here, write to us.
To exercise your rights over personal data (access, erasure, objection) the right channel is the one in the privacy policy.
We use technical cookies to make the site work. The rest — remembering your preferences, measuring how the site is used and loading third-party content such as maps or reviews — are only switched on if you accept them. More information.
