Playa de los Locos takes in the north of Torrevieja, between Punta del Salaret and Cala del Palangre. It holds a Blue Flag, and at one end there is a rocky stretch with steps down to the water. Avenida Doctor Mariano Ruiz Cánovas runs along it, with the promenade, restaurants and shops, within walking distance of the town centre.
The building is apartment blocks on the front and second line of the beach. It is a lively area for visitors and eating out all year round, well connected to the rest of the town by local bus. It draws both those looking for a home near the sea and those who use it a few weeks a year.
