Playa Flamenca runs along the sea between Cala Mosca — small, its water sheltered by two rocky outcrops — and Cala Estaca, of fine golden sand, the two linked by the neighbourhood's seafront promenade. It is an area of streets close to the shore, with supermarkets, bars and restaurants near the water.
Housing is concentrated in the streets near the coast, in low-rise blocks and developments close to the beach. For daily needs there is the Flamenca Beach shopping centre, beside the N-332 main road, and on Saturdays the street market on calle Nicolás de Bussi, one of the largest in the Vega Baja, with around a hundred stalls in summer.
