Campoamor sits at the southern end of Orihuela Costa, on the boundary with the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada. Its beach, also known as La Glea, is 513 metres long and has flown the Blue Flag since 1988; it lies between Aguamarina beach to the north and Barranco Rubio to the south. The Club Náutico Dehesa de Campoamor marina is on the shore, and inland stands the Real Club de Golf Campoamor, opened in 1988.
Housing is split between the streets by the sea and the developments around the golf course. For daily needs there are supermarkets such as the Carrefour Express on calle Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, along with the Thursday street market on calle Fuego and the shops and restaurants of the seafront promenade.
