Maryvilla is the biggest and most populated of Calpe's urbanisations, on the side of the municipality that runs towards Altea, beside the N-332. Its streets are made up of villas and bungalows spread across the hillside, many with views of the sea and the bay, mixing year-round residents with seasonal stays.
There is one thing worth knowing before you come: on the stretch of the main road serving the development, at kilometre 165+800, a continuous centre line makes left turns illegal, so getting in or out towards Altea means a detour of several kilometres. It affects hundreds of residents, and the town hall has been pressing Spain's Ministry of Transport to build centre lanes at that point. For everyday needs there are local shops, and Calpe town and its beaches are a few minutes away by car.
