This neighbourhood takes in the strip inland from the coast of Torrevieja, between the town centre and Torre La Mata, a step from the Pink Lagoon and the Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja nature reserve. It has no beach of its own: the nearest, La Mata and Los Locos, are a few minutes away by car. The ground is flat, with residential streets and open, low-density developments.
Detached villas, bungalows and single-storey townhouses dominate, many of them older builds, alongside the occasional newer development of detached villas. It is a quiet, green area, with parks such as Parque de la Siesta, suited to anyone after a family home with a garden close to the town without giving up the calm of the inland side.
