South of the town beach, the Guardamar coast continues along Platja de la Babilònia (1,060 metres) and Platja dels Vivers (1,210 metres, Blue Flag), which runs as far as the mouth of the Segura. It is the transition between the town beach and the dune belt held in place by pine woods along this whole coast: the further from the town centre, the wilder it gets.
Housing is apartments and low blocks with sea views, on the front and second line of the beach. It is an area of holiday and seasonal use, with the town promenade and its shops close by, and the dune forest as the natural space for walking.
