Santiago de la Ribera, San Javier's most populous district, on the shore of the Mar Menor with its own seafront promenade.
6 properties available in this neighbourhood.
Santiago de la Ribera stretches along the Mar Menor, between Lo Pagán to the north (in San Pedro del Pinatar) and Los Narejos to the south (Los Alcázares), with the San Blas district inland. Its first buildings date from 1888, when the Barnuevo family built the first beach house, and it has kept straight streets and seasonal villas along the promenade, lined with century-old palm trees, ever since.
On foot you can reach the beaches of Barnuevo, El Castillico and Colón, the Real Club de Regatas (founded in 1918, with year-round sailing activity) and the Museo Aeronáutico Tiflológico, an open-air walk next to the Academia General del Aire, home of the Patrulla Águila aerobatic team. Housing combines seasonal flats and villas, many from the early 20th century, with more recent builds near the beach.
