Lo Marabú is a small residential area inside Ciudad Quesada, next to the Doña Pepa development, in the municipality of Rojales. What sets it apart from the rest of the urbanisation is that the everyday services are here: the Rojales II – Lo Marabú health centre on Avenida de Huelva, open Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm, and the supermarket on Avenida de Salamanca, both walkable from most of the houses.
The housing mixes villas — traditional and newly built — with bungalows with terrace and solarium, townhouses and the occasional apartment, along quiet low-rise streets. It is one of the most international parts of Quesada: alongside the British there are Germans, Norwegians, Dutch, Belgians and Italians, and it shows in the bars and restaurants around. The La Mata and Torrevieja lagoons are close by for walking or cycling, and the beach is about ten minutes away by car.
