Inland in the Orihuela district, halfway between Algorfa, Benijófar and Los Montesinos.
La Herrada, the Los Montesinos development that does its own shopping, a kilometre and a half from the town.
Nothing listed in this neighbourhood at the moment.
La Herrada lies north of the Los Montesinos town centre, a kilometre and a half away, in the part of the municipality that faces Ciudad Quesada and Benijófar. What sets it apart from other developments around here is that it does not depend on the town for daily life: on Calle La Herrada itself are the Dialprix supermarket — open from nine in the morning to half past nine at night, Monday to Saturday — and the Monte La Herrada shopping centre.
The housing runs from apartments to villas by way of townhouses, many with a terrace, garden and private pool, and from the higher plots you can see the sierra and, in the distance, the sea. The streets are quiet and low-rise, with a good number of foreign residents living here all year. The town is a couple of minutes away by car and Torrevieja is under nine kilometres.
