Rincón de Loix occupies the eastern side of Benidorm and is the largest neighbourhood in the city. It ends at Playa de Levante — 2,084 metres of Blue Flag sand between Punta Canfalí and the Sierra Helada, which closes the bay to the north. The ground is not uniform: the streets near the beach are flat, while inland there are steep slopes in the developments around Aqualandia and hillsides higher up.

This is the greatest concentration of high-rise buildings in Benidorm, though there are also areas of low houses and townhouses. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan and festive all year, with a strong British presence around Gerona, Lepanto and Mallorca streets — known locally as The Square — full of bars, pubs and restaurants. In summer the population triples, and Aqualandia, Mundomar and the Benidorm Palace are all next door.
